Canada Awards for ExcellenceThe Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver recently received the highest award presented by the National Quality Institute (NQI). The Governor General of Canada is the Vice-Regal Patron of the Canada Awards for Excellence, making this the most prestigious awards program in the country. The Order of Excellence is presented to organisations who meet a national standard of business excellence as outlined by the NQI. In 2010, the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) was only one of two Canadian organisations who were recognized with this award and is the first real estate board or association in Canada to do so. "To earn this distinction is a rigorous undertaking that requires significant buy-in at the most senior level of an organization," said Jake Moldowan, REBGV president (2010-2011). The Board has been on a quality journey since 1996. It' s a never-ending strategic approach to quality principles and practices in the areas of leadership, planning, customer service, people engagement, supplier focus, process improvement and organizational performance.
